20 IDIOMS ĂN ĐIỂM DỄ DÀNG TRONG IELTS SPEAKING
Idioms được hiểu là thành ngữ trong tiếng anh, được cấu tạo từ những từ, cụm từ khác nhau và thể hiện ý nghĩa riêng (khác với những từ cấu tạo chúng). Nếu bạn sử dụng Idioms trong bài thi IELTS Speaking của mình làm cho phần Speaking của bạn tự nhiên giống như người bản xứ, gây được ấn tượng với giám khảo, và từ đó band điểm của bạn sẽ cao hơn. Khi sử dụng Idioms, bạn phải đặt chúng đúng với ngữ cảnh của Idioms đó và chỉ nen sử dụng ở mức độ vừa phải, không nên quá lạm dụng chúng.

- Behind the times: lỗi thời
Ex: People in these parts tend to be way behind the times when it comes to issues such as women's rights.
- In deep water: trong tình thế nguy hiểm/ khó khăn
Ex: The company is in deep water over their refusal to reduce prices.
- Put yourself in someone’s shoes: thử đặt mình vào vị trí của người khác
Ex: Just put yourself in my shoes, what would you do?
- Be sick of: chán ngấy
Ex: I’m sick of working for children. They’re mischievous and noisy.
- Hit the beach: tắm biển
